The 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt is a new Mustang model that pays homage to the classic Steve McQueen film of the same name. Other base and GT models are available with manual or automatic transmission. GT500s are manual only. The Shelby GT500KR is a limited-edition coupe that is only available through select Ford dealers. It packs a 540-hp 5.4-liter supercharged V8 engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Also available through select dealers are the Shelby GT coupe and convertible, which have a 319-hp 4.6-liter V8. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, and front side airbags. Mustang offers several appearance and trim packages depending on model, including a “Warriors in Pink” edition. Part of the proceeds from sales of this package benefit breast cancer research. The Mustang Bullitt has unique interior and exterior trim, as well as a performance suspension and brakes.
