I cut the resonator muffler off yesterday, the stock resonator was robbing the fuel mileage and horsepower, because it was heavy from the moisture that had become water in it and also had lots of suit in the bottom, i replaced the stock resonator with an 18″ 2-1/2″ Diameter strait pipe, a 2-1/2″ exhaust clamp, and a 8-1/2″ long resonated stainless steel exhaust tip, the upgrade cost around $25 with tax, if your looking for a way to increase horsepower and fuel mileage, this is one of the cheapest ways that you can do it. At first the motor will run a little rich on fuel and will decrease the fuel mileage, but after the first tank or so it will re program itself to burn more efficiency, increasing horsepower and fuel mileage.
